Question: What is the difference between crystal meth and meth?

Both point to methamphetamine which is a very potent stimulant drug. The crystal part of the name refers to the crystalline form that the drug often comes in. Shards, Glass, Tina are other popular names. Meth can be crushed into a powder but in that form it can become too powdery (even dust) and is more susceptible to moisture. Basically, meth and crystal meth refers to the same drug.

The form in which you take it. Crystal meth is smoked while regular meth is injected into the blood stream.

Just the name, slang for the same thing. How it's used is irrelevent. It's not like coke & crack, which are different forms of the same drug.

The difference is in the vernacular and region used. Meth is a general umbrella term across the United States. It kind of like asking what the difference is between a cookie and a pastry. The kids have all kinds of names for the same drug. Ice, Crank, Cystal, glass and dope and I'm sure others exist as well. Crank is smokable. Ice/ glass/ crystal meth is snort-able. It just depends on how you use it really.
